Question:
What
steps should I take if my TV is not turning on?
Answer:
The
final thing to check is the power cable of the TV.
- Confirm
that the outlet you are using has power (is live).
Tip:
If
you have a different device plugged into the outlet and it is still
functioning this is a good indicator that the outlet is live. You can
also try connecting a lamp, vacuum, or other device to the outlet to
test. If the outlet is not live check your electrical breaker box for
any tripped circuits or call an electrician.
- Check
to make sure that the cable is plugged into the wall outlet and back
of the TV securely.

- If
you are using a power strip bypass the power strip and go directly to
the wall outlet.

- Check
the power cord for any tears or cuts.

If
everything with the power cord and outlet are working then an internal component
in the TV has failed and your TV will require service. Click on "Create
New Service Request" below to begin the service process.
