Question:

Why does my TV blink on standby but no picture displays?

Answer:

If the standby light blinks but nothing else happens there are two possible reasons this could happen.

  1. The TV is connected to a computer with a VGA cable.
  2. An internal component has failed in the TV.

If you have a computer connected to the TV with a VGA cable and it is powered off the TV will go into a standby state. To remove the TV from the standby state press the SOURCE button to change the source off the PC input. The TV will function properly after changing the source.

If you do not have a computer connected to the TV it would appear that an internal component has failed and the TV will require service. Click on the "Create Online Service Request" button below to begin the service process.
