My
television is on but won't turn off. What should I do?
Answer:
If your
television is ON but will not power OFF, you could be having an issue with:
- Your remote control
- The power button on your TV
- A faulty circuit inside
your TV.
To determine
the source of your problem, follow these steps:
- If
your TV is OFF power
the TV ON.
- Press
the POWER button on your Samsung remote control and see if this powers off
your television, if the TV does not power off continue to Step 2. [The power button is the red button located on the top portion
of your Samsung remote]

- Press
the POWER button on your television and see if this powers off
your television, if your TV does not power off continue to Step 4.

- Unplug
the unit from the wall and leave it unplugged for 10 minutes.

- While
your TV is unplugged, replace the batteries in your remote control with
new ones. Make sure you align the batteries so that they match the indicator
diagrams in the remote’s battery compartment.

- Plug
the TV back in, power it back on, and then go through Steps 1 and 2 again.
If the set remains on, there is an electrical problem with the set. Please
