Question:

What steps should I follow when unboxing and setting up my new TV?

Answer:

Before starting, ensure you have all necessary tools (e.g., cutting tool and Philips head screwdriver) and a clear space for the TV. Follow these steps for a smooth unboxing and setup process:

Carefully cut open the tape on one side of the box using a small, sharp blade. Avoid cutting the box itself or using long, sharp objects.

Remove the TV from the box. This may require assistance depending on its size. It's usually best to remove all accessories first, then lift the TV out.

Assemble the TV stand, if it isn't already attached. Having the stand ready before unboxing the TV makes the process easier, but if that's not possible, find a secure spot to place the TV while assembling the stand.

Attach the assembled stand to the TV and follow any additional setup instructions provided in the manual or by the manufacturer.

Important: Before you unbox your TV make sure you have all the tools you will need and the space cleared where the TV will be put after assembly. For most TV unboxing and setup you will need something to cut the tape with and a Phillips head screw driver.

  1. Cut open the tape on one side of the box. You should never cut the box or use any long sharp objects to open the box. Only cut the tape of the box using a small sharp blade.

  1. After opening the box you can remove the TV. Depending on the size of the TV and how many people are helping this can be done in different ways. The easiest is to remove all accessories and lift the TV out.

Important: Most TVs will not come with the stand attached and you will need to assemble the stand before attaching it to the TV. If possible have the stand assembled before removing the TV from the box. If not possible you will need to find a safe location to place the TV while assembling the stand.
