Question
Why isn't my Home Theater System powering on?
What should I do?
Answer
There might be several reasons why your Home
Theater System isn't turning on:
- The power cord might not be properly connected
to the wall outlet.
- The power outlet, power strip, or extension
cord could be malfunctioning.
- Your Home Theater System might need maintenance
or servicing.
Note: If your Home Theater System turns
on but doesn't show anything on the display panel, it likely needs servicing.
Steps to troubleshoot:
- First, try plugging your Home Theater
System directly into a known working power outlet (without using any power
strips or extension cords). Ensure the plug is securely inserted into the
outlet. You can test the outlet's functionality by connecting a radio or
lamp to it.
- Locate the power button on the front of
your Home Theater System. When the device is powered off but connected to
a functioning outlet, the power button should remain illuminated. When turned
on, the power button should flash once before all panel buttons light up.
On certain models, the power button might be situated on top of the front
panel.

- If the power button isn't lit and nothing
happens when you press it, your Home Theater System probably needs servicing.
To request service online, click the "Online Service Request"
button provided in the support article.
- If the power button is lit, press it.
The power button will flash once, followed by lighting up the rest of the
panel buttons. Give it around one minute to let an image appear on your
TV. If there's still no image but the panel buttons are lit, it might indicate
that the DVD System isn't correctly connected to your TV. In this case,
refer to the connections section of the support guide for further assistance.
