or seems to be 'stuck' on a specific screen, perform the following in order:

2009 models (BD-P), with no disc in the tray press and hold the Fast Forward button
on the front panel of the player.
- For
2010 models (BD-C), with no disc in the tray press and hold the Stop button on
the front panel of the player.
2. Press
Skip/FFWD
- Press
the Skip/Fast Forward button on your remote control when the red or black
information screen is displayed and allow 2-3 minute loading time (varies
by model) before the movie begins playing.
What
if it still doesn't work?
Unplug
your player for about a minute and then reconnect. Allow the disc to load (you
may need to press Skip/FFWD on screen displayed) before it begins playing.
