- USB Flash Drive
USB Update is NOT available for the following models:
BD-P1000
|
BD-P1200
|
BD-P1400
|
BD-UP5000
|
Before you start, ensure your player is connected
to the TV, both devices are powered on, and your TV is set to the correct auxiliary
input for Blu-ray playback. Also, ensure your flash drive is empty.
Connect the USB Flash drive to your computer.
Visit Samsung's Download Center (https://www.samsung.com/us/support/download/)
and search for your model number.
Locate the USB firmware update file (not the
CD method), and download it to your desktop. It should be a ZIP file containing
a RUF file.
Extract the RUF file from the ZIP folder using
right-click and copy it to your clipboard.
In File Explorer, find your USB Flash drive
and paste the RUF file into its main directory.
Disconnect the USB device safely from your
computer.
Insert the USB Flash drive into the USB port
on the back of the player, ensuring no disc is present.
Wait for the player to verify the firmware
on the USB device; then, confirm the update when prompted.
Allow several minutes for the firmware update
process to complete; afterward, the player will turn off automatically.
Remove the USB Flash drive from the player
and restart the player.
Select your preferred language using the remote
control number buttons.
IMPORTANT: If
the language selection screen doesn't appear after a few minutes, the firmware
installation might have failed. Verify the successful installation by opening
the disc tray, keeping the power on, and pressing the "INFO" button
on the remote control. Check if the firmware information displays correctly.
