Connecting to A Wireless Network

  1. Turn on your TV and Blu-ray Player and tune your TV to the appropriate input.
  2. Connect the Wireless USB Adapter to the rear USB port on your player. The following message appears: Do you want to connect to wireless Network? YES or NO.
  3. Using your Blu-ray remote, select YES and press Enter/. Connecting appears on the screen. If your home wireless network requires no password and there are no other wireless networks in range, then your player should automatically connect with no additional configuration and Connected will appear. However, If the device detects more than one available network, you will need to continue setting up your wireless network as described below.
  4. Press Menu on the remote control and use the arrows and Enter button to go to Setup > Network.
  5. Ensure that Network Selection is set to Wireless.  If Network Selection says [CABLE], press Enter, select Wireless and then press Enter again.
  6.

  1. Scroll to Wireless Network and press Enter. Access Point is highlighted.
    • DHCP should be set to ON
    • DNS should be set to AUTO
    • Other settings will be grayed out.

  1. Press Enter to search for available Access Points. All Access Points in range (whose SSIDs are being broadcasted) are listed.

  2. Important: Your Access Point (SSID) should be identified by its full name.  If the SSID is only partially displayed, for example, your SSID is Robinson Family but only Robinson appears, you will need to manually enter the SSID or modify the SSID to remove spaces.

  1. If your access point is detected and correctly identified, continue below to step 9, If it is not detected or correctly identified, choose from the correct option below:
    • If your Access Point Is Not Detected Or Signal Strength Is Poor, click here.
    • If your Access Point Is Not Identified By It's Full Name, click here.
  1. Scroll to desired Access Point and press Enter.
  2. Note: The above image is for illustration purposes only and does not reflect actual Access Points.  Access Points will differ for all users and may change frequently depending on wireless networks available.

  1. Select security type. If your wireless network is not protected and does not require a security key, select Open and press Enter to connect.
    • If your network is protected, choose the appropriate encryption type from WEP, WPAPSK or WPA2PSK and enter your security key using the on screen keyboard. Once the security key is entered, press the blue D button on your remote to connect.
    • If you don't know what type of encryption your network is using, you can try entering your security key for each of the security options without negatively affecting the setup.

Note: If the D button does not respond, either the security key was entered incorrectly or the SSID is not recognized in its entirety. Re-enter the security key, taking care to enter lower case and capital letters where required. If still unresponsive, click here for Access Point (SSID) Is Not Identified By It's Full Name.

  1. Connecting appears on the screen. Allow 1-2 minutes for connection to complete.
  2. When complete, Connected appears and the Network Menu returns.  Scroll down to Network Connection Test and press Enter.
    • If the network connection test passes, you have successfully connected to your network and can begin using online services such as Netflix and Pandora.**
    • If any part of the network connection test fails, run the test again. If it continues to fail, select click here to go to Network Conection Test Fails for further troubleshooting.

**Connecting to your home network does not automatically connect your player to computers on your network.  To use PC Connect features, you must connect to a computer on the network.
