When I Insert The Wireless Dongle, I Do Not Receive A Prompt
Cyber

Question

Why might I not be prompted when inserting the wireless adapter into my Blu-ray player's USB port? What steps can we take to determine the issue?

Answer

You may not receive a prompt when inserting the wireless adapter into your Blu-ray player's USB port for the following reasons:

  • The USB Host port you're using is not working.
  • The wireless adapter is not working.

Note: The only two compatible Wireless Adapters are Samsung models WIS09ABGN and WIS09ABGN2.

To determine the cause, follow these steps:

Insert the wireless dongle into one of your Blu-ray player's USB ports (there are two available - one on the front/left side and another on the right side at the back).

a) If the Samsung wireless dongle is recognized in one port but not the other, the USB port that isn't recognizing the dongle needs servicing.

i. Arrange for service online by clicking the 'Create Online Service Request' button.

b) If neither USB host port recognizes the Samsung wireless dongle, the wireless dongle itself likely requires service.

i. Arrange for service online by clicking the 'Create Online Service Request' button.
