Question

How to reset my Blu-ray player to factory settings when the wired network connection test fails?

Answer

  • Ensure your Blu-ray Player is turned on and there are no discs inside.
  • Wait until the front display reads "No Disc."
  • Press and hold the Stop button on the Blu-ray Player (not the remote) until the front display reads "Reset."
  • Wait for the TV to display the message, 'Resets all settings to the default values'. The Player may take a few seconds to complete the reset process.
  • Choose your preferred language when the Initial Settings/On-Screen Language screen appears.
  • Confirm the message, 'TV Aspect and Network will be set.', then press Enter to start.
  • Select the appropriate TV aspect ratio setting on the Initial Settings/TV Aspect screen and press Enter:
  • 16:9 Original: Preserves original aspect ratio; 4:3 content has black bars.
  • 16:9 Full: Stretches all content; 4:3 content fills the screen.
  • 4:3 Letter Box: Preserves original aspect ratio; 16:9 content has black bars.
  • 4:3 Pan-Scan: Cuts off extreme left and right portions of 16:9 content.
  • Choose Wired on the Initial Settings/Network Settings screen and press Enter.
  • Check the Network Connection Test results:
  • If successful ('Internet is connected successfully'), troubleshooting is completed.
  • If failed (MAC Address shows info but test fails), return to Wired Network Connection Test Fails.
  • If MAC Address shows all zeros, your Blu-ray Player needs servicing. Click the Online Service Request button to arrange service.
