Connect A Recording Device With An Analog Tuner
Cyber

The FCC mandated that television broadcasters convert all over-the-air analog broadcasts to digital by June, 2009. If you connect an analog recording device to your TV and to an antenna, you will not be able to record unless you have purchased Digital-to-Analog converter box to go along with your antenna. Most cable and satellite operators, however, will continue to broadcast analog signals. If you connect your analog recording device using cable or satellite, in most cases you will be able to record after June, 2009. To confirm contact your service provider.

Required cables:

  • A length of Coaxial (RF) Cable (long enough to go from the wall to the recorder)
  • SD Connection Cables. Examples are displayed below.

Directions for connecting an analog recorder to your TV using these cables are below. Click on the connection name you will be using for connecting your recorder to the TV.
