Question:
What
is the purpose of the Auto Protection feature and what are its available settings?
How does it affect image retention on the TV screen?
Answer:
The
Auto Protection feature aims to prevent image retention on the TV screen by
turning off the TV if it detects that the same issue has been displayed on the
screen for a specific duration. For instance, if the feature is configured for
2 hours and a video game is left paused for 2 hours, the TV will automatically
shut down. This helps avoid potential image retention issues.
There
are five settings for the Auto Protection feature:
Off
- Disables the Auto Protection feature.
2
Hours - Activates the feature for a 2-hour duration.
4
Hours - Activates the feature for a 4-hour duration.
8
Hours - Activates the feature for a 8-hour duration.
10
Hours - Activates the feature for a 10-hour duration.
Please
note that leaving any image on the TV for more than 4 hours might result in
an afterimage or image retention. As a result, setting the Auto Protection feature
to Off, 4 Hours, 8 Hours, or 10 Hours is not recommended. It's best to use either
the 2 Hour setting or disable the feature entirely if necessary.
