Question:

How does the audio selection work on my TV for multi-language support?

Answer:

Your TV is capable of receiving multiple audio tracks simultaneously during TV broadcasts, such as mono, stereo, or SAP (Secondary Audio Program). To select your preferred audio track, follow these steps:

TV broadcasts are capable of simultaneous transmission of various audio tracks. These audio tracks can be mono, stereo, or SAP. This setting allows you to specify the desired audio track. If the audio that you choose is not avalible, the TV will default to Stereo. For Example: If your native language is Spanish, you can choose SAP with the MTS button and if the broadcaster has transmitted a Spanish translation, the audio will be in Spanish.

Note: This feature is only available on a Analoug channels through the ANT-IN input. If the menu option is grayed, please use the Preferred Lanuage feature instead.

Terms:

Mono (Monaural): Single audio channel for sound reproduction.

Stereo (Stereophonic): Two audio channels for creating a sense of spatial separation between sounds.

SAP (Secondary Audio Program): Secondary audio track often used for translations or additional audio options.

MTS (Multichannel Television Sound): System for transmitting multiple audio channels over television broadcasts.

ANT-IN: Input for receiving over-the-air (OTA) antenna signals.

Preferred Language: Feature allowing users to specify their preferred language for audio playback.
