Question:

What does running a network test involve?

Answer:

Running a network test will check the different points in your network connection. The network test has four parts:

  1. MAC Address: This portion of the test is testing to see if the TV or ,if you are using a wireless setup, the Linkstick has a MAC address.
  2. IP, Subnet Mask, Gateway, DNS Server: This portion of the test is confirming that the network information has been recieved by the TV or has been manually entered into the TV.
  3. Gateway Ping: This portion of the test checks communication with the router.
  4. Domian Ping: This portion of the test checks for internet connectivity.
