Question:

How does the 'Network Type' setting work on my Samsung TV?

Answer:

The 'Network Type' setting on your Samsung TV is used to select the type of network connection you wish to establish between your TV and internet source. It has two primary options:

Wired: Choose this option when connecting your TV directly to your home router or modem via an Ethernet cable. This ensures a stable and secure connection for streaming online content.

Wireless: Select this option if you are using a Samsung Linkstick to connect your TV wirelessly to your home Wi-Fi network. This allows for greater flexibility in placing your TV without needing physical cables.

It's essential to note that changing the 'Network Type' setting requires a Samsung Linkstick to be detected by the TV. If you do not have a Samsung Linkstick connected, the wireless option will be unavailable (greyed out). By default, the setting is set to 'Cable.'
