Missing Some Channels

The two most common missing channel problems are: 

  • You only get channels 2 through 13
  • You are missing random channels 

Both issues can be corrected by performing an Auto Program.

Performing An Auto Program

To receive all of your channels, follow these steps:

  1. Connect an antenna or direct cable line to the input on the back of the
  2.  

  1. With the TV on, press [Menu] on your remote to bring up the Main Menu. Then, press [Arrow Down] to the Channel Menu, and then press [Enter].
    Important: If the Channel Menu is greyed out, you must exit the menu and then press [Source], one or more times, until AIR or CABLE is displayed on screen.
  1. Press the [Down Arrow] to select Auto Program, and then press [Enter].
  2.  

  1. Press the [Up or Down Arrow] to highlight either Air or Cable, and then press [Enter]. If you selected Air, continue to Step 7. If you selected Cable, continue to Step 5.

  1. Press the [Up or Down Arrow] to highlight STD, HRC, or IRC, and then press [Enter]. Repeat for digital channels.
    Note: The most common cable system is STD, however some smaller cable companies still use the older HRC or IRC systems. Your cable company transmits digital and analog on the same cable system.

  1. Press [Enter] once more on Start to begin programming channels into the TV.
  2. The TV memorizes all stations first and then removes scrambled channels. This process can take over 20 minutes.

  1. When the Auto Program is complete, press [Enter] to begin watching TV.

Other Troubleshooting Steps You Can Take:

If the procedures above do not resolve your problem, try the following:

  • Connect the RF connection to another TV and see if it works. If you do not get all of your channels, the problem lies with the antenna or cable.
  • Connect the TV to a different cable connection, and then repeat the Auto Program procedure. If you get all of your channels, the problem lies with the cable.
  • Move or rotate the antenna to improve reception, and then run repeat the Auto Program procedure.
