Question:

What should be done if there are bright pixels, black pixels, or lines of dead pixels on the screen of a TV?

 

Answer:

Bright pixel:

 

Single or more  bright pixel/s (white, red, blue, green) anywhere on the screen

Not within specifications (Screen should not have any bright dead pixels).

 

Dispatch service if TV is in warranty

 

Examples:

 

 

 

Black Pixel:

 

One black pixel any where on the screen.

Within specifications

 

Do not dispatch service

Two or more black pixels

 

Get the pictures (closeup of the screen) and escalate to SECA Team

 

Example:

 

 

Line of dead pixels:

 

It should be a straight thin vertial or horzontal line.

 

Document the details of the line/s

 

  • Thickness:
  • Color:
  • Streight or not:
  • Vertical:
  • Horozontal:

 

Ask customer for pictures of the full screen of the TV to be escalated to the SECA team for review.
