    Question:

What should I do if part of my screen is black?

    Answer:

    Follow these steps:

    Turn the TV on.

Press the MENU button on the TV remote, or on the TV itself.

Check if you see the whole menu.

If you see the whole menu, the black part of the screen is caused by the source device (Cable Box, DVD Player, Game Console, etc.). Contact the manufacturer of that device for further troubleshooting.

If you do not see the whole menu, the black part of the screen is caused by your TV, and you need to have the TV serviced. To begin the service process, click the Create Online Service Request button below.

Source device: A device connected to your TV that provides audio and/or video signals (e.g., Cable Box, DVD Player, Game Console, etc.)
