Question:

Can burned-in images on my LCD TV be eliminated? What methods might work best?

Answer:

Yes, depending on the severity of the burn-in, some methods may help reduce or eliminate it. Calibration DVDs, available at many electronic stores, can optimize the video signal between your DVD player and TV. These DVDs contain various test patterns, including one that flashes from black to white, turning every pixel on the screen from "full on" to "full off." This process can help remove minor burn-in when left running on the TV screen. However, major burn-in is usually irreparable. Note: Samsung does not officially endorse or support calibration DVDs. The effectiveness of this method is not guaranteed.
