Question:
What
steps should a customer take if they notice the picture on their TV is pulled
to one side after passing the picture test?
Answer:

If a customer is using a direct cable connection
or antenna
and has the picture pulled to one side but the TV has passed the picture test.
This is an indication that the signal source or broadcast is being transmitted
this way. Have the customer try:
- Switching the TV to a different channel.
- If the problem does not happen on the other
channel this indicates
that the problem is only with that channels broadcast.
- If the problem happens on all channels this
indicates there
may be an issue from the broadcaster or the TVs tuner.
- Test
with a different RF connection. For example: The RF connection from
a VCR or a different cable connection in the house
- If
the problem happens with a different RF connection the TV will require
service.
- If
the problem does not happen with a different RF connection this
means that the problem is with the original incoming signal. Instruct
the customer that they will need to contact their service provider
for further assistance, or replace the coax connection to the TV.
