Question:
What does the Info screen on my TV display,
and how does it handle different input frequencies?
Answer:
The Info
screen on your TV displays the resolution and frequency (Hz) of the incoming
signal, but not the frequency the TV is generating for the image it is displaying.
Typically, the incoming signal is 60Hz.

In the chart
above, note that all the incoming signals have a frequency of 60Hz. The TV always
outputs at 120Hz, however the Info screen shows you what the signal coming into
the TV is.
Note:
If the TV receives an incoming signal that is at 24 frames per second (fps),
the TV will display 24Hz in the Info screen.
