PROBLEM 1: Properly Using Detergent

SOLUTION 1: Use HE Detergent

Follow detergent manufacturer's recommended amount for load size.

Do not exceed max line in detergent cup.

For powdered detergent, remove liquid insert; for liquid detergent, install liquid insert.

PROBLEM 2: Detergent Residue

If non-HE detergent or excessive detergent used, or Excessive Suds Error occurred, run an empty cycle with no additives.

Check for suds; if present, continue running empty cycles until suds no longer appear.

PROBLEM 3: Softener Not Dispensing

SOLUTION 3: Clean Dispenser Components

Pull out cap, rinse, and reassemble.

Clean hole of cap rinse and reattach.

Dilute fabric softener with water if it's too thick.

PROBLEM 4: Softener Draining Immediately

SOLUTION 4: Check Softener Amount

Ensure softener does not exceed max limit or max fill line in compartment.

PROBLEM 5: New Detergent Cup Insert

SOLUTION 5: Replace Old Insert with New One

If detergent dispenses during pre-wash or enters machine immediately, check washer level and detergent drawer insert.
