Question:
What does each diagnostic code mean and what
should be done to fix the issue?
Answer:
Diagnostic codes covered (in alphabetical order):
"_ _": Indicates an EEPROM fault;
replace the main PCB (DC92-00133A).
2E: Voltage for motor control bus is over/under
specified limit; replace the main PCB (DC92-00133A).
3E: No response from Hall Effect Sensor; try
resetting, if not working, service needed; Drum Motor (DC31-00049A).
8E: Replace MEMS Sensor (MFS-MEMS-00).
dC: Imbalance detected during spin cycle; level
the machine, secure leg lock nuts; Drum Motor (DC96-01218D), older models use
MEMS Sensor (MFS-MEMS-00).
E2: Jammed input key on control panel; replace
Display Panel (DC97-12609B).
FL: Door lock fails to unlock after 3 attempts;
check door latch's strike plate, misalignment; replace Door Lock Assembly (DC64-00519B).
Hr: Reset the washer, if same code returns,
replace Main PCB (MFS-WF318A-TO).
LE: Problem with Water Level Sensor; check
for suds, use only HE detergent, recommended amount; if no suds, service required.
LO: Same as FL; replace Door Lock Assembly
(DC64-00519B).
nd: Water level failed to drop within 15 mins;
check drain hose, remove restrictions; if not working, replace Drain Pump (DC96-01585A).
nF: Filling continues >16 mins, no change
in water level; check supply valves, clean debris screens, try hot/cold water;
replace Hot Water Valve (DC62-30314K), Cold Water Valve (DC62-00142G), or Water
Level Sensor (DC97-0316C) accordingly.
OE: Fault detected in Water Level Sensor; reset
unit, if error code returns, service required; Water Level Sensor (DC97-0316C).
PF: Power interruption during wash cycle; no
action needed.
Sr: System relay failure; replace Main PCB
(MFS-WF318A-TO).
