Dropbox API Version 1 End of Service (3/31/2018)

PROBLEM :

Dropbox API Version 1 End of Service (3/31/2018)

SOLUTION :

Answer: Dropbox's API Version 1 is being discontinued after March 31st, 2018. This means that the Dropbox server will no longer support the integrated service in the Gallery and My Files apps. However, this does not imply that your Dropbox files will be deleted. You can still use Dropbox's service through their original app.

Affected Devices: This change impacts phones and tablets from Samsung S3 (May of 2012) to Note4 (September of 2014).

New Dropbox Login Customers: If you start using Dropbox after the service termination, you won't see content stored in Dropbox on the Gallery app and My Files app.

Existing Dropbox Integrated Service Customers: You'll only be able to view stored content but won't be able to download, execute, or delete content. If you attempt to use the content, Dropbox may not respond or a "Failed" pop-up message might appear.
