Volume Or Power Buttons Stop Responding

PROBLEM:

Volume or power buttons stop responding

SOLUTION:

Check for damage: Inspect device, charger, and USB cable for physical or liquid damage.

Check USB connections: Ensure no corrosion or bent pins.

Non-removable battery: Inspect Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) in SIM/microSD card tray slot. Solid white or white with pink/purple Xs indicate no exposure to moisture; solid pink, purple, or red indicate exposure.

Removable battery: Inspect LDI on battery or battery tray. Follow step 3's guidelines.

Secure USB cable: Firmly insert into charging port with minimal mobility.

Soft reboot: Hold Power and Volume Down keys until device restarts. If entering Maintenance Boot Mode, navigate to Normal Boot using Volume keys and select with Bixby/Side key.

Charge device: Use factory travel charger and let it charge for at least 1 hour. Battery charging indicator may take up to 10 minutes to appear.

Power on device: Disconnect charger and press Power key for 15-20 seconds.

If device turns on, it needed charging. Fully charge it using factory travel charger.

If device still doesn't respond, request service.
