PROBLEM :
Apps on Samsung phone are not sending notifications
Note: Different things can prevent apps from running or showing notifications. Disable any function that could be blocking notifications and then test the app to see if it sends notifications.
SOLUTION A:
Disable Do not disturb and Power Saving on the phone
- Swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick settings.
- If it is illuminated, tap the Power mode icon to turn off Power saving mode. This could be preventing notifications from displaying.
- If it is illuminated, tap the Do not disturb icon to disable this feature. This could also be blocking notifications.
SOLUTION B:
Disable power saving settings from an app
If you have added any apps to sleeping apps, it means they have entered a power saving mode. If they are "sleeping," some of their functions may be unavailable when the app is closed. For example, they may not send notifications.
- Navigate to and open Settings. Swipe to and tap Device care, and then tap Battery.
- Tap App power management, tap Sleeping apps, and then tap the Trash icon. Select the apps you want to remove from Sleeping apps, and then tap Remove.
SOLUTION C:
Check if notifications are turned on
- Navigate to and open Settings, and then tap Notifications.
- Locate your desired app in the list. If notifications are disabled for the app, tap the switch next to it to enable its notifications. Some apps allow you to choose what types of notifications you will receive. Tap the app name and make sure the notifications are enabled for your desired categories.
- Check the settings in the app. Some apps may have additional notification settings within the app itself. Open the app and check its settings, menus, or help system.
