       PROBLEM :
Gmail notification sound does not ring when new mail is received

SOLUTION :
Check Notification Settings: Ensure that your
Gmail app's notification settings include 'Sound' and 'Vibrate'. This can be
found under 'Settings > Apps & Notifications > Notifications >
Advanced > Vibration and Sound'.
Clear App Cache and Data: Go to 'Settings >
Apps > Gmail > Storage > Clear Cache and Clear Data'. This may reset
some personalized settings, so review them after performing this step.
Update App: Check for available updates for
the Gmail app by going to 'Play Store > My apps & games > Updates'.
Install any pending updates.
Restart Device: Simply restarting your phone
might resolve the issue.
Check Other Apps: Ensure that no other apps
are interfering with Gmail notifications by checking their respective permissions
and notification settings.
Enable Sync: Turn on sync for your Gmail account
under 'Settings > Accounts > Gmail > Sync'.
Reinstall App: If all else fails, uninstall
the Gmail app and reinstall it from the Play Store.
