Blank Display On A Samsung Phone

Question:

How can I fix a blank display issue on my Samsung phone?

Answer:

If your Samsung phone has a blank display, follow these steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Check for physical or liquid damage: Ensure that the phone, charger, and USB cable are not damaged. Look for signs of corrosion or bent pins in the USB connections. Inspect the Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI), which should be solid white, or white with pink or purple Xs. The charger's USB connection must be firm with minimal movement.

Remove and reinsert the battery (if applicable): Some Samsung phones have removable batteries. If yours does, take out the battery for 60 seconds and then put it back in. If your phone doesn't have a removable battery, press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for 30 seconds.

Charge the phone: Connect your phone to the supplied charger and let it charge for at least 1 hour. Note that if the battery is completely drained, the charging indicator may take up to 10 minutes to appear on the display.

Restart the phone: After charging, disconnect the phone and try turning it on by holding the Power key for 15-20 seconds. The Samsung Galaxy logo should appear on the screen.

If the screen turns on, your phone needed more battery power. Fully charge your phone before using it again. However, if the screen still doesn't turn on after following these steps, your phone likely needs professional service.
