  2. Turn Data saver on or off
  3. Data usage settings
  4. Data roaming

PROBLEM 1: Monitor Data usage
SOLUTION 1:

Keep an eye on how much data you're using to avoid going over your limit. In your phone's Settings, look for and choose 'Data Usage'. Tap 'Data Usage' again, and see your Mobile data usage or Wi-Fi data usage.

PROBLEM 2: Turn Data saver on or off
SOLUTION 1:

Data Saver stops some apps from using data in the background. In your phone's Settings, look for and choose 'Data Saver'. Then, tap 'Data Saver' again, and tap the switch to turn it on or off. To let certain apps use data even when Data Saver is on, tap 'Allow app while Data Saver on'.

PROBLEM 3: Data usage settings
SOLUTION 1:

There's another useful feature on Galaxy phones called 'Data Usage Settings', which tells you when you're reaching the end of your billing cycle or when you're running out of data. In your phone's Settings, look for and choose 'Data Usage'. Tap 'Data Usage', tap 'Billing Cycle and Data Warning', and check these settings:

  • 'Start Billing Cycle on': Choose the date when your billing cycle begins to help you keep track of your mobile data usage.
  • 'Set Data Warning': Turn this feature on or off by tapping the switch. When turned on, it alerts you when you reach a certain amount of data usage.
  • 'Data Warning': Choose how much data you can use before getting a warning about your usage.
  • 'Limit Mobile Data Usage': Turn this feature on or off by tapping the switch. When turned on, it limits how much data you can use.
  • 'Data Limit': Choose how much data you can use before your mobile data is turned off.

PROBLEM 4: Data roaming
SOLUTION 1:

If you leave your carrier's network area, you might still be able to use mobile data by turning on 'Data Roaming'. This allows your phone to connect to other networks, even in different countries. However, there might be extra costs, so talk to your carrier first before turning on 'Data Roaming'.
