Samsung phone display has pink lines or dead pixels

Problem:

Samsung phone or tablet display has pink lines or dead pixels

 

Solution:

Power off your device, wait 30 seconds, and then perform a soft reset by holding the Power key until the Samsung logo appears. Test your device to see if the issue persists.

Check for software updates. Go to Settings > Software update (or System updates) > Download and install. Ensure your device has sufficient space and is connected to the internet, and its battery level is above 50%.

Boot your device into Safe mode to isolate potential issues caused by third-party apps. Uninstall any suspicious applications and see if the problem remains.

Perform a factory data reset as a last resort. Back up all data and settings using Smart Switch or a cloud account, write down usernames and passwords, and decrypt your SD card (if applicable). Follow these steps:

Go to Settings > Factory data reset > Factory data reset (again) > Reset.

Complete the on-screen prompts, possibly entering your Samsung account password or Lock screen password.

Set up your device after the reset and check if the issue still occurs.
