PROBLEM 1: Unable to unlock SIM PIN or PUK on Samsung phone

SOLUTION 1:

The Personal Unblocking Key (PUK) is a SIM-specific code assigned and provided by your phone carrier to protect your SIM card. If you enter the wrong PIN too many times, the card will become "PUK-locked."

If your device is prompting you for a SIM PIN (Personal Identification Number) or PUK (Pin Unlock Code) code that you did not set, please do the following:

1. Check for physical or liquid damage. Verify that your phone and SIM card have no physical or liquid damage.

  • Inspect the Liquid Damage Indicator in the SIM Card slot.

  • Inspect the SIM card and SIM card slot for any corrosion or bent pins.

2. Contact your carrier to help troubleshoot the SIM card or to obtain the PUK code. Do not try to guess the PUK code - if you enter the wrong PUK too many times, you may have to get a new SIM card.
