PROBLEM 1:
S Pen does not work or lags
If your S Pen is not responding, it could be because the pen is too far away from your phone or tablet. It is also possible that the S Pen needs to be charged.
SOLUTION 1:
Check the S Pen operational range
In order for Air actions or Remote features to work, the S Pen needs to be within 30 feet of your phone or tablet with nothing in between.
If you are far from the phone or tablet and you try to use the Air actions (such as opening the Camera with the S Pen), there will be a lag between the button click and the command.
If the S Pen is farther than 30 feet away, the connection will be lost. You will need to reconnect the S Pen by inserting it back into the phone or attaching it to the tablet.
If your S Pen is still not recognized by the phone or tablet, remove any third-party cases or covers from your device. Then, reconnect the S Pen.
SOLUTION 2:
Charge and reconnect the S Pen
The S Pen battery may have died and that is why it is not working properly. Insert the S Pen into your phone, or attach it to the tablet, and it will begin charging. It should only take a few minutes to fully charge.
If you want to view the S Pen battery percentage, tap on the floating Air command icon. The remaining battery power will be displayed at the top of the screen.
SOLUTION 3:
Reset the S Pen.
Resetting the S Pen can help correct any problems you may be experiencing.
Insert the S Pen into your Galaxy phone until it clicks into place, or attach it to your Galaxy tablet. From Settings, search for and select Air actions or S Pen remote. Tap More options (the three vertical dots), and then tap Reset S Pen.
Note: If you customized any of the remote features or other settings, resetting the S Pen will return them to their defaults.
