S Pen not recognized by Galaxy Note phone

Solution : Basic troubleshooting

Ensure S Pen within 10m of phone

Remove 3rd party cases/covers

Remove screen protector (if applicable)

Change S Pen tip if needed

Test with another compatible device's S Pen

Solution 2: Update phone software

Reboot phone

Go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates (or Swipe to System updates for Verizon users)

Follow on-screen prompts to update device

Restart phone after update

Test S Pen connection
