Follow these steps to successfully set up your email account on your Samsung Galaxy smartphone:

To receive emails on your Galaxy phone, you can add your email account and then set up notifications for when you receive a new message. If you add a Google account, for example, you will be able to access Gmail.

1. Navigate to and open Settings, and then swipe to and select Accounts and backup.
   
   
2. Tap Accounts, and then tap Add account.
   
   
3. Tap Email, and then tap your email provider.
   
   
4. Depending on your email provider, you may have additional requirements to complete the setup on your device. If necessary, sign in to your account via the internet, and then turn on access to allow use of the app.
