Samsung phone freezes and crashes

PROBLEM 1:

Samsung phone freezes and crashes

SOLUTION 1:

Force a reboot on the phone. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys simultaneously until the phone reboots (about 7 seconds).

If your phone is completely drained, charge it for at least 15 minutes using the supplied wall charger before attempting a reboot.

If the Maintenance Boot Mode screen appears, select Normal Boot using the volume and home/Bixby buttons.

Update your device's software:

Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Follow on-screen prompts to update your device.

Ensure your device has sufficient charge (over 50%) and internet connection before starting the update.

If an error occurs during the update, follow instructions to resolve boot loop issues or free up storage.

Reboot your device in Safe Mode:

From the Power menu, touch and hold Power off until the Safe mode icon appears, then tap Safe mode.

Uninstall any recently downloaded apps one by one, restarting the device after each removal to check for normal function.

Perform a factory data reset:

Back up all data and settings, record backup account details, plug in your device, and decrypt your SD card (if applicable).

In Settings, search for and select Factory data reset, then follow the on-screen prompts to complete the reset.
