 Question :
My fingerprint does not be recognized properly on device. What do I do
for this?

Answer A :
As the security about fingerprint registration and authentication was
enhanced, you may not be able to register or scan your fingerprints if you use
a screen cover with a bumped or dotted pattern including dome glass, toughened
glass cover, protective cover, 3rd partys protective film or thick protective
films in addition to silicone cover.
When you scan your fingerprints on the device, be aware of the following
conditions that may affect the features performance:
    - The device may not recognize fingerprints that are affected by wrinkles
or scars.

    - The device may not recognize fingerprints from small or thin fingers.

    - The device may not recognize fingerprints when the fingerprint is not registered
evenly or you use fingerprint of different area from the registered fingerprint.

    - If protective film/screen protector is dirty or scratched, please replace
to new one and we recommend to register your fingerprint again for better fingerprint
recognition rate after replacing protective film.

    - The device may not recognize fingerprints when the screen protector/protective
film is not attached clearly and tightly on device screen.

    - Air gap or foreign
substances between protective film and screen may decrease the fingerprint recognition
rate.

    - If you remove the protective film or attach new thing, we recommend to
re-register new fingerprint.

    - If you bend your finger or use a fingertip, the device may not recognize
your fingerprints.

    - Press the screen so that your fingertip spreads over the
wide surface of the fingerprint recognition area.

    - If you take your finger off too fast, the device may not recognize your
fingerprints.

    - When attempting to recognize a fingerprint, keep your finger on the fingerprint recognition sensor area until the fingerprint
recognition is completed with the wider part of the fingerprint icon.

    - If you press your finger too hard, the device may not recognize your fingerprints.

Answer B :
To improve recognition performance, register fingerprints of the hand
used most often to perform tasks on the device.
    - Your device has a built-in fingerprint recognition sensor at the bottom
center of the screen.

    - Ensure that the screen protector or the touchscreen on the fingerprint recognition
sensor area is not scratched or damaged by objects, such as coins, keys, pens,
and necklaces.

    - Ensure that the fingerprint recognition sensor area at the bottom center
of the screen and your fingers are clean and dry

    - In dry environments, static electricity can build up in the device.

    - Avoid
using this feature in dry environments or before using the feature, discharge
static electricity by touching a metal object.

    - The device may not recognize fingerprints from too dry fingers.  Especially
your fingers can be more drier on situations like following.

    -  When trying to use fingerprint after wake-up in the morning
, When having more drier fingers than normal,

    - When youre at
outside place on winter or in low humidity conditions at that time, we recommend to let your finger be moist properly
by using hand cream and try again.

    - The device may not recognize fingerprints from wet fingers.

    - To improve recognition performance, register fingerprints of the hand used
most often to perform tasks on the device.

    - You should make sure to use the highest central part of fingerprint or
the most curved part of fingerprint when you register or scan fingerprint.

Samsung is committed to improve fingerprint recognition rate continuously
so always encourages users to keep software and apps updated to latest version.
