Question:

During using Galaxy S20 FE 5G device in 5G network service areas, the network signal often changes unintentionally from 5G to 4G(LTE) network. Why is this?

Answer:

5G network service may not be available depending on network conditions of your carrier even though you are in 5G service area.

Regarding this, the carrier will continuously improve the network quality of 5G service through gradual network coverage expansion.

And, Galaxy S20 FE 5G device uses in conjunction with LTE and 5G network and supports the high-speed processing of large data, which may result in increased battery consumption and higher heat generation compared to LTE devices under the same conditions.

Also, when you use applications that require more power for extended periods, device may heat up due to increased battery consumption as well.

If the Galaxy S20 FE 5G device heats up to specific temperature during using, algorithm to prevent devices overheating operates and accordingly the maximum performance of device may be limited and network signal changes to 4G network.

This is a normal operating condition to assure a continuous device performance.

At that time wait for the device to cool down after a while and then use the device again.

If the Galaxy S20 FE 5G device cool down to specific temperature, device will connect to 5G network again.
