Front camera hole size is repeatedly changed

Question:

Why does the front camera hole size on my S20 FE change repeatedly when using the front camera?

Answer:

The front camera hole size changes because the bright light from the screen can interfere with the camera's operation. To prevent this interference, the camera punching hole is temporarily enlarged. Additionally, if Smart Stay is turned on, the front camera is periodically checked to see if the user is still looking at the screen, causing the camera hole size to change repeatedly. This is intentional behavior and not a device defect.

To stop this if it annoys you, turn off Smart Stay by going to Settings > Advanced Features > Motions and Gestures > Smart Stay.
