System Extension Block message when using Samsung Smart Switch with Mac PC

Problem

User encounters a 'System Extension Blocked' message when using Samsung Smart Switch with a Mac running macOS High Sierra (10.13).

 

Solution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Uninstall any existing Android File Transfer application on your Mac.
  2. Navigate to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General tab.
  3. Select 'Allow', then choose both 'Samsung Electronics' and 'DEVEGURU Co., Ltd.' options.
  4. Click 'OK' and restart your Mac.
  5. After restarting, launch Samsung Smart Switch and connect your devices without encountering the 'System Extension Blocked' message.
