After updating my phone's operating system to Android 11 (also known as R OS), I cannot see my Chromecast device in the 'Other devices' list of the Smart View feature. My Chromecast is plugged correctly into an external screen. What should I do to fix this issue?

 

 Answer:

Due to stability and compatibility of Google Chromecast on Android 11, Chromecast connection using Smart View is not supported anymore on Android 11(R OS).

But if you download and use 3rd party app supporting Chromecast such as Google Home, you can continuously use Chromecast for streaming contents from your smartphone installed Android 11 onto external screen, TV or monitor.
