Question: After updating my phone to Android 11, my standby battery consumption has become much higher than before. Why is this happening?
Answer: With Android 11 (R OS), the Edge lighting feature is now integrated into notifications, causing the notification target app to change to the default "All apps." This results in more instances of waking the screen, leading to increased battery usage during standby time. To improve battery life, go to Settings > Notifications > Included apps and enable only those apps that need to send notifications.
