Problems playing videos on Netflix

SOLUTION :

If you cannot watch Netflix videos on your Galaxy phone because of an error message, please perform the following troubleshooting steps:

1. Clear the app data. Navigate to Settings, and then tap Apps. Search for and select the Netflix app. Tap Storage, and then tap Clear data. Please be aware that deleting the Netflix app data will also delete customized settings or any titles you have downloaded to the device. Additionally, login data may be lost.

2. Force-close the Netflix app. Tap the Recents icon on the Home screen. Swipe left or right until you see the Netflix app. Swipe up on the app window to close it. Tap Home to return to the Home screen, and then try opening the Netflix app again.

3. Restart your device. Power off your device by holding down the Power button. Or, swipe down from the top of the screen to open the Quick settings panel, and then tap the Power icon. Tap Restart, and then tap Restart again. Once your device restarts, try opening the Netflix app again.

4. Uninstall and reinstall the Netflix app. Navigate to and open the Play Store, and then search for and select Netflix. Select Uninstall, and then select Uninstall again to confirm. Once the app has been uninstalled, you can install it again by tapping Install. Try using the Netflix app again.

Note: Deleting the Netflix app will also delete any titles you have downloaded to the device.

5. Perform a factory reset. If the above steps do not resolve the problem, try performing a factory reset. Navigate and open Settings, and then search for and select Factory data reset. You may be prompted to enter your Samsung or Google account information. Read the information and follow the on-screen instructions to perform the reset.

Important : Performing a device factory reset will delete personal data and customized device settings. You should back up your data before performing one.

If those steps do not get you streaming again, then you will need to use a different Netflix-enabled device to continue streaming.
