Cannot use NFC tags with an LED cover case on Galaxy S10

PROBLEM :

Cannot use NFC tags with an LED cover case on Galaxy S10

SOLUTION :

The Galaxy S10 LED cover case is a new type of accessory. It is a cover with some unique LED features.

  • Mood lighting: When the device is facing downwards, the LEDs will activate.

  • LED notification icons: You will see notification icons on the back when there is a notification.

  • Camera timer: If the timer for the rear camera is turned on, the countdown will be shown on both the screen and the cover.

  • Emoticons for the rear cameras: When the Camera app is open and the rear cameras are active, a LED icon will be shown on the back cover.

Unfortunately, NFC options are not available when using an LED cover case. This is due to the LED being activated. This means that as long as the LED functionality of the cover is turned on, you cannot read or write NFC tags or share data between NFC devices. However, you can use those features again after LED lighting is off.

After updating to the latest software version, NFC card modes such as mobile transportation card, mobile employee identification, etc. will be available. LED control will be automatically disabled while using NFC card mode. After that, you can manually activate the LED light feature to use it again.
