Connect the Gear 360 to a computer and transfer files

PROBLEMS COVERED...

1. Connect the Gear 360 to a computer

2. Transfer your files

After you have taken photos or videos with your Gear 360, you can transfer them to a computer. All you have to do is connect your computer to your Gear 360 using a USB cable, and you will be good to go. You can even edit files on your computer with editing software.

PROBLEM 1: Connect the Gear 360 to a computer

SOLUTION 1:

  1. Turn on your Gear 360 and insert a microSD card.
  2. Use the included USB cable (USB-A to USB-C for 2017 model, USB-A to micro-USB for 2016 model).
  3. Connect the small end of the cable to the Gear 360's multipurpose port.
  4. Plug the large end into your computer's USB port. Drivers will download if needed.
  5. For USB Type-C computers, use an Apple Multiport Adapter with the Gear 360 USB Type-A to Type-C cable.

NOTE: The Gear 360 is not compatible with USB Type-C ports on computers. If needed, use the Apple Multiport Adapter with the Gear 360 USB Type-A to Type-C cable when connecting to a Mac. You can only sync with a PC that originally incorporates a USB port Type-A port.

  4. Drag and drop or use copy/paste to move files to your desired location.
  5. If you missed the Autoplay pop-up, go to File Explorer and select your Samsung Gear 360 from the left-side menu.
