PROBLEMS COVERED...
1. Connect the Gear 360 to a computer
2. Transfer your files
After you have taken photos or videos with your Gear 360, you can transfer them to a computer. All you have to do is connect your computer to your Gear 360 using a USB cable, and you will be good to go. You can even edit files on your computer with editing software.
PROBLEM 1: Connect the Gear 360 to a computer
SOLUTION 1:
- Turn on your Gear 360 and insert a microSD card.
- Use the included USB cable (USB-A to USB-C for 2017 model, USB-A to
micro-USB for 2016 model).
- Connect the small end of the cable to the Gear 360's multipurpose port.
- Plug the large end into your computer's USB port. Drivers will download
if needed.
- For USB Type-C computers, use an Apple Multiport Adapter with the Gear
360 USB Type-A to Type-C cable.
NOTE: The Gear 360 is not compatible with USB Type-C ports on computers. If needed, use the Apple Multiport Adapter with the Gear 360 USB Type-A to Type-C cable when connecting to a Mac. You can only sync with a PC that originally incorporates a USB port Type-A port.
PROBLEM 2: Transfer your files
SOLUTION 2:
- Power on your Gear 360 and connect it to a PC.
- In the Autoplay pop-up, choose "Open device to view files."
- Select "Card," then "DCIM," and finally "101PHOTO"
to see all photos and videos.
- Drag and drop or use copy/paste to move files to your desired location.
- If you missed the Autoplay pop-up, go to File Explorer and select your
Samsung Gear 360 from the left-side menu.
NOTE: If you miss the Autoplay popup when you first plug in the device, simply navigate to File Explorer, and then select your Samsung Gear 360 from the left-side menu.
