       Question:
Why are there different types of Application
Processor (AP) chipsets used in Samsung Galaxy S9 devices?
Answer:
There are two main reasons for this:
Regional Standards: Snapdragon 845 (SDM845)
chipsets are necessary for supporting Code-Division Multiple Access (CDMA),
a technology used in certain regions. Exynos chipsets do not support CDMA, so
SDM845 is used instead to meet specific regional network standards and requirements.
Stable Component Supply: Ensuring a steady
supply of components is essential for manufacturers like Samsung. Using both
SDM845 and Exynos chipsets allows them to secure a stable supply and avoid potential
shortages or delays. While the choice of AP chipset might slightly affect the
Central Processing Unit (CPU), the performance difference between the two is
negligible.
