Language selection is not available when trying to input password on lock screen

PROBLEM :

Language selection is not available when inputting password on lock screen

SOLUTION :

There has been an issue where customers cannot type their password on the Lock screen because the keyboard defaults to English-only and their password is in another language.

Samsung is aware of this issue, which may appear on some devices. Samsung is scheduled to release a new software update that will resolve this issue. Therefore, please check for updates to your device regularly. Samsung encourages users to keep software and apps updated to the latest version.

If you have created a Samsung account and registered your device using Find My Mobile, you can unlock your device via the Find My Mobile service.

  1. Open an internet browser and go to https://findmymobile.samsung.com

  2. Select Sign in, and then enter your Samsung account information.

  3. Select SIGN IN.

  4. If prompted, review the legal information, and then select Agree.

  5. Select Unlock, and then select Unlock again. Enter your Samsung account password to continue. If you use this function, all of the screen lock information (Pattern, PIN, Password, and Biometrics) on your phone will be deleted.

If you have problems during this process, please visit an Authorized Samsung Service Center with your device.
