Question:

When I check battery usage using Device Care, Chrome app occupies high portion even though I haven't used Chrome app for a long time.

Answer:

  • In the case of the battery information (consumption rate and time) shown in Device Care, even if Chrome is not used directly it will be accumulated and displayed as Chrome used when other apps call and use Chrome's function such as webview and sandbox. It is common concept of Google and not a device defect. (Google Pixel phones show same behavior.)
  • This version includes advice about Samsung Neural Beta Keyboard issue and battery consumption of Chrome app.
