 Question:
Why am I unable to connect to the internet
via mobile hotspot on my device when connected to my Galaxy smartphone?

Answer:
Samsung has identified an issue causing connectivity
problems between devices and smartphones through mobile hotspots.
This issue is related to a software malfunction
within the affected device's connection to the Google network.
Updates to resolve this issue will be released
by both Samsung and/or Google in the near future.
As a temporary solution, disable the Auto Hotspot
and Wi-Fi sharing features on your Galaxy smartphone.
To do so, navigate to Settings > Connections
> Mobile Hotspot and Tethering > Mobile Hotspot > Turn off Auto Hotspot
> Configure > Advanced > Turn off Wi-Fi sharing.
If you manually added APNs (Access Point Names)
on your smartphone, remove them and revert to the default settings.
To reset APNs, go to Settings > Connections
> Mobile networks > Access Point Names > More > Reset to default.
 Terms:

APN - Access Point Name (a setting on your
phone that defines the gateway between your phone and the internet).
