Question:

How has the functionality of Call & Text on Other Devices been updated to address e911 concerns?

Answer: America

Background:

  • Under FCC rules, the device capable of making a call should support the Emergency call(e911).
  • However, the tablet was unable to support it because the location information of the phone instead of the tablet is sent to the emergency center when making an e911 call from tablet

Solution:

  • Call works for Same WiFi network only to address e911 concerns

Note:

  • If your Call & text on other devices version is higher than 3.3.00 these features have changed.
  • In order to make or receive calls, both the Tablet and Phone must be using the same WiFi network. You can send and receive messages whether or not both parties are on the same WiFi network.
