Question:

After updating my device to the latest version using FOTA, the Android Recovery mode screen appeared and I am unable to start the device properly. What should I do?

Answer:

  • On the black screen (Android Recovery mode screen), use the volume keys to navigate and select "Reboot system now" using the power button. This will restart your device.
  • Ensure not to select "Erase app data," as this might result in erasing your device's data.
  • Once your device starts, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to retry the update via FOTA.
  • After completing the update process, your device should start properly.

Samsung is aware of this issue and plans to release a new software update to fix the problem. To avoid future inconveniences, regularly check for updates on your device software through FOTA. Keeping your software and apps updated ensures the best user experience.
